Vale Da Pinta golf is close by to the village of Carvoeiro once a small fishing village surviving on the tuna catches but has now become a popular resort
developed on demand. It’s one famous claim to fame is that in 1554 a battle took place off cape Carvoeiro when Portuguese flotilla attacked the Turkish corsair, Xaramet and destroyed the fleet. Today the most activity you will see is visitors enjoying the beaches and local fisherman bringing in their catch of the day. One thing you will not be short of in Carvoeiro is great places to eat and drink. There is a great selection of bars and restaurants all within walking distance of the town centre and a wide choice of cuisine on offer. The cliff tops around Carvoeiro also offer great walking if you enjoy spectacular views.

layout but for outstanding levels of beauty and enjoyment. Designed by the famous American golf course architect Ronald Fream and inaugurated in 1992 Vale da Pinta has earned its place as one of the best designed courses in Europe. Strategically placed bunkers protect the greens with the two ornamental lakes influencing the play at 4 different holes around the course. The dogleg trajectory for all the par 4 and 5 holes needs skillful driving. The size of the greens perfectly match the length of the approach shot. Experienced golfers will get genuine excitement and have a memorable experience. The rolling terrain is dotted with almond, fig and olive trees some more than 600 years old, and a main feature is the 1200 year old olive tree.
